I was wondering if anyone here has experienced this problem. I find that my throat is constantly getting inflamed, but only the left tuncil is usually giving me problems. At times it is sore and a bit swollen too and doctors usually give me antibiotics for that, but as soon as I take one course, it usually comes back again a few days later. Sometimes, hot drinks and tablets help, but only for a day or 2 and then it all comes back again. I am now on the waiting list to see a throat specialist, but while I wait, I thought to post this message here, hoping that someone would help me with it. Thanks.

At risk of being the bearer of bad news, it sounds like you need a tonsilectomy. I went through the same thing as a child, so they whipped them out.
